Famous Hollywood director Jonathan Demmi will be awarded
for his work in film and television at the 49th Cinema Ceremony
Audio Society (CAS) Filmmaker Awards in February next year.
The awarding event of this prestigious film award will take place in
Crystal Ballroom at the Millennium-Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.
The 68-year-old winner of the Oscar Prize participated and directed the filming
process in more than 30 films, including Philadelphia,
�”Rachel is getting married”, “Silence of the Lambs.”
CAS President David Fleur said: “We are very pleased to honor
Jonathan Demmy. Over 40 years of activity as a director,
producer and screenwriter in movies and on television Jonathan showed
incredible talent in creating artistic and documentary
films. “
Demmi won the Academy Award for the film “Silence
lambs ”in 1991. And thanks to the work on the film “Philadelphia”,
Tom Hanks also got his Oscar. Jonathan Demme now leads
own production company “Clinica Estetico”.
