We are sure: the impact made by our arms contributes to
lower blood pressure, stress levels, anxiety and even
memory improvement.

According to a report by experts, the reason for such
amazing effect lies in a special hormone, oxytocin, for
the production of which meets such a clause of our
brain like pituitary gland. With close contact with loved ones
people oxytocin is released into the bloodstream, and over time, with
the necessary frequency of this process can even have a beneficial effect
on character of the person, having made it softer and sensitive.

But the effect can be completely opposite if the subject
of our embraces are people unfamiliar to us – in this case,
blood is released hormone cortisol, responsible for stress, and therefore
able to cause anxiety and emotional stress.

Neurophysiologist Jürgen Sandkler, who participated in the study,
said: “By embracing people who inspire confidence in us, we subject
positive effects that can occur during
many different forms. But if the person with whom it is necessary
hug, does not cause us positive emotions or at all
unpleasant to us, it starts the production of stress hormone, the consequence
