Fountain of love – the parable of love and levity, sense of proportion, faith and disbelief

Tale-parable about love and levity, about the sense of proportion and
unrestrainedness, about faith and unbelief. In ancient times I was in one
the city has a fountain, the water of which had a wonderful property — each,
having drunk a mug of this water (but only one mug!), became lucky
in love: I found my soul mate, I returned my lost beloved
(lover), gaining an understanding of the path to the heart of the inaccessible
hitherto man. Needless to say that the pilgrimage to the fountain is not
did it stop day or night? Miracles happened: young man, wiping
lips, stretching the mug of the girl behind him in the queue, on
which did not pay the slightest attention for many hours
waiting – and could not take my eyes off her, and the girl, even without drinking
water, responded to his loving eyes with the same radiant eyes,
and they went together, hand in hand.

Another unhappy lover, tormented by grief, barely draining his mug,
hit himself on the forehead and with the exclamation “Oh, I’m an idiot! Rather !!!” flew into
the saddle and rushed, without sorting the road, to where it waited excessively
proud maiden, constantly praying that her beloved
it occurred to go to the fountain. As all the love
problems at that blessed time!

Everyone who decided to try the magic water, knew the Law: to
the fountain can only be addressed once in a lifetime. Maybe this
unwritten Law and would be violated (people tend to violate the laws), but in
there was no need for it. After all, love prevails in the heart
communion with the sacrament, made him wise, and this wisdom
enough for two, for a lifetime – because nothing is at the heart of love
otherwise, as wisdom. There were, however, skeptics who believed that
faith in the fountain is just superstition, and it helps because
decided to resort to his help is already internally ripe for
the only true love. Whatever it is, the fountain
acted, people found happiness, some with the help of a fountain, and some
without him – there are the lucky ones, wise by nature.

Anyway, everyone knew that if some bad luck happened
you can always fix it, but since
can only be once and only for one person, you have to be very
careful and attentive to each person, and to himself, too, so that
make no mistake in choosing your destiny.

Probably those times were the Golden Age.

But as time went on, people gradually got used to the idea that
the fountain is trouble free, therefore, prudence in dealing with
loved ones are not so important: nothing corrupts as
reliability Frivolity increasingly knocked on their hearts.

Love itself in those hearts lost its sacredness and
became the subject of the game. After all, the win is deliberately secured! Already
some talked about the law guaranteeing everyone
love to the grave, fresh air, and the sacred water is brackish and not
quenches thirst. Thirst for diversity and thrills. And once
a middle-aged knight came to the fountain
tournaments, but so until his mature years and not knowing happiness in love.

He did not want to stand in line and humbly wait for a miracle,
laughing, pushed the crowd and hand clad in shiny steel
glove grabbed the mug. “I drink this glass in honor of all the beautiful
the ladies I see here! “he proclaimed and quickly poured into his mouth
the contents of the mug.

Then he filled it a second time and announced: “And I drink this glass in
honor those ladies whom I loved before! “

And, the crowd did not have time to gasp from such blasphemy, like a knight in
the third time framed the mug under the stream. “And I dry this glass in
the honor of those countless ladies whom I will love in the future! “-
said – and drank.

And the thunder did not strike from heaven, and the sun did not dim, and the fountain did not
dried up! Moreover, the daring knight with delight, almost with love
all the ladies standing in line: the young villagers, for the first time
trapped in the city, and mature matrons who came to the fountain with the goal
make peace with your husbands, and ugly old maids who are without help
Fountain hardly shone something in his personal life.

The knight, pleased with the effect produced, twirled his mustache, made
ladies handle – and only saw him. And was he? Maybe this
there was a mirage, a phantom – this legend is silent about this, for further
the fate of the knight so no one ever learned anything.

Yes, it does not matter. The serpent-tempter is an allegorical figure, and
Adam and Eve are kind of like our first parents, and we are real people,
and it was up to them and us to clear the porridge. After the disappearance
Knight confusion swept the crowd. Everyone wanted to drink more than one
Mug, and quickly! Choking and pushing, people rushed to the fountain, for
the right to be the first to grab a mug many men drew their swords, and women
grabbed each other’s hair, and a real war began. All
by all. In the name of love.

And only when the first victims fell into the fountain, and transparent
water became scarlet from the blood, someone shouted: “Stop! What are we
do? “People stopped, with horror looking at the defiled
source of happiness …

The bodies were hurriedly taken out of the fountain and carried away so as not to
embarrass your conscience, and waited until clean water washes blood.
“Nothing,” thought everyone, “now the fountain is cleared, and we are already
never never break the Law. “But the shed blood is not
washed away, because the water of the fountain itself turned into blood.

Almost no one dared to try it, with the exception of a few,
never comprehended the deed. From them went the tribe of vampires.
The rest of them departed, each with an excruciating pain in the soul,
contempt for oneself and for all participants of the crazy action. With
since then nothing helps people in love. They provided themselves
only those who remember the tradition and the Law are capable
find happiness For the skeptics were right: the point is not in the fountain, but in
spiritual maturity and natural wisdom. And easy love is given only
in a fairy tale …
