On the eve of the bright feast of the Nativity of Christ, when
Orthodox churches are filled with people who want to touch
the sacrament of faith, the portal “Women’s opinion”, decided to find out what place
religion and the church takes in the lives of modern women.
The purpose of the first survey was to find out which religion is the most
close to Russian women. Adherents of the Orthodox Church, like
it was expected in Russia is still the absolute overwhelming majority
68.2%. The second most common religion today (as always)
is Islam – 9.6%. The third position was taken by Catholicism, who gathered
3.3%. Adherents of Judaism turned out to be 2.7%. People do not consider themselves
none of the religions was only 16.2%.
To the question “Do you often go to church?”, 32.9% honestly
admitted that they never go to church. Peering into
the temple “sometimes in mood” turned out to be 30.3%, and for large
holidays – 18.2%. Just over 7% of respondents attend church only
when misfortune comes to their house.
Question: “Do you plan to go to church for Christmas?” showed
similar results. Those who do not want and are not going to go to church
it turned out 33.6% (which is in tune with the number of people who do not go there
never). And those who would like to go, but the circumstances, alas, not
allow – 18.2%. But 21.4% will go to church necessarily. Nearly
as many (21.9%) will be able to visit the temple if they are allowed to

From the comments that were received during the survey that
festive worship services on the feast of the Nativity of Christ do not come
